Katie’s journey with yoga started over 8 years ago as a way to heal old injuries from years as a competitive gymnast. Yoga helped to break down old scar tissue in her hips and shoulders and to provide strength in areas she was overly mobile. Although these physical benefits were wonderful, Katie quickly realized that yoga could do so much more than just heal physical injuries. She began to notice that she had a new appreciation for life. Yoga truly has improved every aspect of Katie’s life and it shows through her passion for her practice and the community. Katie is also a passionate Acro Yogi, holds a degree in Environmental Science and can often be found doing yoga in a park, on a beach, or in a forest, combining her love of yoga and nature.
When attending Katie’s class you can expect to flow with breath, practice a creative sequence, and listen to a carefully selected playlist.
